Harwyn Pods: Exquisite hideway

I don't often describe architecture as exquisite, but small, beautifully crafted, independent studio-pods ARE exquisite!

The first time I saw the Harwyn Designer Pods, I was swept away by a single image. It was a sleek cube, with pink-blue reflective skin, and it was mirroring nearby trees and the sky, blending into its natural environs completely. It looked like a serene hideaway and instantly drew me in.

It's important that you know what I know: That the Harwyn pods are prefabricated studios, fitted beautifully, inside and out. They can land on an open lawn, or even your rooftop, creating an independent and additional space for your work or recreation. As a user, your options for customizing this small flexible module are endless.

And why do I love the pods, (besides the fact that they are a dream getaway?) What appeals to me most is how seamlessly they blend into their surroundings, despite being a bright, sharp-lined object. 

After speaking with the creators of Harwyn earlier this week, I learned what produced that reflective, seamless quality. I discovered that the pods were clad both internally and externally with Alucobond- An Aluminum Composite Material (ACM). Their brilliant sheen comes from colors of the Alucobond from a particular palette called 'Spectra.' These are iridescent colors with gradients and highlights drawn from nature. The material itself is durable, robust and destined to last many decades; Like all of the interior finishes and cladding for the pods which come from only the best caliber of materials, selected for their longevity and sustained quality.
